Here at First4car.com, we're passionate about supporting the local community and charitable causes on our doorstep. As a used car dealership located within the market town of Pudsey in Leeds, we are keen to give back where we can.
We've been in business for over 21 years and wouldn't be where we are now without the support of local people, which is why we champion a number of community-based initiatives in the area.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important part of our business. We recognise that people buy from people - not only in a physical sense, but the entire ethos of a company. Discover a bit more about what we do to support our local community, below…
Access to a defibrillator
Our First4car.com showroom is situated in a residential area, so we believe it’s our responsibility to help safeguard visitors to our premises and the residents who live nearby. This is why we funded a defibrillator to be accessed in a potentially life-saving situation.
Community defibrillators can be a real life-line and are able to be used by anyone in an emergency without any training. The defibrillator we funded is located on the fence outside of our showroom forecourt for easy access should it be needed.
Supporting Pudsey Carnival
Every spring the carnival comes to town! For 34 years Pudsey Carnival has taken place and we are a regular supporter of the community-led event. Raising money for charitable causes and projects in the community, it’s always a great day out for all the family. Why not join us in 2023!
But that’s not all…
Back in 2021 we did our bit to support Wakefield Hospice which does such an incredible job in caring for those with life-limiting illnesses. Our local Aston Barclay branch lost a valued friend and colleague, so decided to hold a raffle to raise money for Wakefield Hospice in her memory. To help raise funds, we donated a car for auction which contributed to the £7,800 raised.
In 2022 we supported BBC Radio Leeds during their ‘Walk and Talk’ for Children in Need which took place in various locations across West Yorkshire. With many famous faces taking part, Pudsey Bear joined the team in Pudsey when the relay style event passed our First4car.com dealership. We were ready with donation buckets to collect donations and even managed to grab a selfie with the one-and-only Chris Kamara!
Automotive charity Ben organises the annual Bangers4Ben fundraising road trip, when we pledge sponsored support to our friends at Auto Trader as a participating party.
A cause very close to our hearts, we sponsored two family members who took part in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2023. The event is raising money for the very worthy MND Association which is a charity focussed on supporting people affected by motor neurone disease.
Christmas 2023 and we joined Close Brothers Motor Finance with their Cash for Kids campaign collecting gifts to be delivered to those who will not receive a gift on Christmas Day.
We also focus our support to local sports clubs and schools by sponsoring a local football team, cricket team, and school summer fair, as well as providing laptops to help school students learn online.
